Hey Everyone!
We just wanted to take a moment and thank you for all the support we’ve received these last few days since we shared The Gay Dad Project with the world. We’re super excited to launch this project, and judging from your initial responses, you’re just as excited as we are.
We’re still working on our site a bit so please be patient with us as we play around with different settings and attempt to fine-tune our social media follow options. Right now our social media follow buttons do not show up in individual posts, but if you click on any of the home page tabs you will see options to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
As Erin wrote on her blog yesterday, the three of us are meeting up in person, for the first time, in September at Oakland Pride. Erin, her dad, and her dad’s partner are all flying out for the weekend. Amie’s dad is flying out too. Look for more information (and photos and videos?) on that event coming later.
Also, look for posts coming soon from Erin and Jared introducing themselves and their dads. You can read Amie’s post here, if you haven’t already.
Do you have an idea for a future post? Something you would like us to talk about? An issue you’d like us to address? Let us know and we’ll do our best to blog about it.
And why not share your own story? We want to hear it. Submit it here, and we’ll turn it into a blog post, and share it with the world.
Thank you again for all the support, and please continue to spread the word about The Gay Dad Project. “Like” us on Facebook, Follow us on Twitter, and spread the Gay Dad Love around the world.
-The Gay Dad Project: Amie, Erin, & Jared
Dear Amie, Jared and Erin,
I’m so glad to have been able to see the Gay Dad Project evolve from it’s starting seeds to it’s now launched state! Being that Amie is (not an old) but very close friend, I have been wanting to support her as much as I could.
I am glad that now, despite living in different parts of the world, and seeing each other so seldom, I can still follow her and her work, as well as the words of her friends, and being able to give swift and supportive feedback and cheering-ons due to the marvel that is the internet.
Good luck with your continuous and brave work!
Nahal –
Thanks so much for all of your support not only of me personally, but with The Gay Dad Project and of Erin and Jared. I couldn’t do this without you and we couldn’t do this project without the support from people like you. So, I’m sure I’ll be saying this a lot but “Thank You, Thank You, Thank You” …

I’m a long time follower of Erin’s and so happy that she’s found this project with you all. I’m looking forward to following the journey. I hope you’ll be able to add an email follow option to the website, as that’s my best way to stay up to date with posts!
Hey Ally –
Thanks for your support of The Gay Dad Project and of the amazing Erin. I just added the email follow option on the right hand side of the home page. Let me know if you have any trouble getting email updates and happy to have you follow our journey.
